The Grand Rapids Public Library offers various programs for children and adults of all ages. Their partnership with GRPS includes One Book, One City for Kids, and an annual reading program that encourages all 5th graders in the city to read and discuss the same book. They also run story hours for younger children at many of their library locations. All GRPS students can also use their student ID to check out books and use the electronic SORA, formerly OVERDRIVE system. During the summer, more programs are available to give students additional resources for summer learning.
