June Observances – GRPS Equity & Inclusion

June 1, 2022

GRPS’ Department of Equity and Inclusion published this wonderful newsletter to bring attention to the many celebrations and observances taking place this month.

This month we celebrate the culture and contributions of our Caribbean American community and PRIDE all month long!  We also celebrate Juneteenth and World Refugee day among other observations.

June holds rich history and significance for people and cultures represented in our diverse school community and nation.  There is so much more to know and learn than can fit into this one publication.  However, we all have knowledge and stories that we must share and learn. Invite conversations, do more investigation, and continue your journey to cultural competence!

In addition to our newsletter, visit HistoryPlace.com to explore additional historical events in June.
