The Power of Literacy
The Power of Literacy featured image

Literacy is Knowledge,

and

Knowledge is Power!

Your child’s ability to express themselves through writing and reading is the foundation of their education! Literacy skills allow students to seek out information, explore subjects in-depth, and gain a deeper understanding of the world around them. A child’s journey towards literacy begins at birth, and although it may be several years before they are actually ready to read and write, early literacy builds rich language skills such vocabulary, self-expression, and understanding. When they start to become proficient in reading and writing, the possibilities become endless for young students. Their literacy journey does not end there; children who continue to enjoy reading through their late elementary and teen years transform into informed and socially engaged citizens.
