Working together for good

KSSN coordinates community
For GRPS, 13 is a lucky number, with 13 GPRS “community schools” in the mix. An important neighborhood hub, a community school is a public school that unites families, educators, and community partners in providing rigorous academics, top-quality enrichment, and essential health and social services to help all students succeed in school and in life. Key support for GRPS community schools comes via KSSN coordinators from Kent School Services Network. Learn more at www.kentssn.org

Kids’ Food Basket
This lifesaving food program nourishes children living at or near the poverty level with critical evening meals to level the playing field for their academic achievement. The meals equip children and families with better access to fresh, locally grown food in order to build a more vibrant, healthy West Michigan. The recent addition of a growing farm increases access to fresh fruits and vegetables. Volunteers are essential, and new faces are always welcome! Learn more at www.kidsfoodbasket.org.
