On this day, we honor and celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., father, husband, minister, civil rights leader, and champion for equality, justice and human rights. On this day, we are reminded of the movement he helped build to ensure civil rights and equality for all.
Dr. King’s commitment to equality is deeply embedded in the mission of Grand Rapids Public Schools.
All of us have a role to play in ensuring Dr. King’s dream is fully realized. At GRPS, we’re determined to do our part as we continue to uphold our district’s commitment to equitable access as we work to build more inclusive and equitable opportunities to all our scholars.
