As we reach the midpoint of our academic year, February brings us an exciting opportunity to reflect on our students’ growth while embracing several meaningful observances and initiatives that enrich our learning community. This month, we’re honored to celebrate Black History Month by dedicating time to explore and recognize the profound contributions of Black Americans to our nation’s heritage. February also brings us Presidents’ Day, offering a unique opportunity to explore civic engagement and leadership. In addition, February 6th marks Safer Internet Day which is a day that emphasizes the importance of digital citizenship and online safety, essential skills that help our students navigate the digital world responsibly and confidently. This month also features a caregiver guide that promotes Social Emotional Learning (SEL) in the home.
